Three years since the last post! This has largely been due to the previous blogging platform going obsolete and me being too lazy to migrate… until now!
So let’s catch up with a review of His Last Request from that excellent magazine Rue Morgue, in the November 2008 issue #84.

Seemingly unrelated, but “His Last Request” wouldn’t exist if not for this guy, nor would just about anything of any value created in “popular culture” over the last 30 years. More important than you imagine – just watch how belated media recognition starts to set in…

New PAL and NTSC DVDs of “His Last Request” are now available for sale on Amazon.com! This new edition includes the Spanish and English language versions, as well as some new slideshows of cast and crew.
While remastering the DVD of “His Last Request” I once again came across a technical problem to do with the way the AVID codec treats black levels. For the sake of the other folks who have come across the same problem, I’ve written up the solution as a short technical article. Click the link below to read it.
